...Oh. Um. Well, Roxy's...she's very good at science. [Be specific, Jane.] Like, kind of...the weird fringe stuff, ectobiology included. She explained it to me once, it's this sort of...you zap something and get its genetic material in the form of some green goo, and you mix it up with other genetic goos and zap it again and it turns into a sort of...clone of what you zapped. A perfect one is then destined to go back in time and become that thing you zapped, like a paradox - it's how my friends and I came to be born at all. But she said hers were imperfect clones, they had mutations and such, so, they became their own autonomous beings. [Jane smiles slightly, thinking back on all of Roxy's cats. She loved the darned things so very much.] She had some of the ones who'd passed on petrified in her house, and they all had more than two eyes, but were otherwise quite cute. I liked them a lot more than the cat always showing up at my house.
