It's one of Aesop's fables! It's supposed to teach a moral lesson.

Basically a woodcutter loses his axe in a river. Cutting wood is his only means of income so he starts crying. Then a god appears and asks him if he dropped a gold axe or a silver axe. When he says neither are his, he gets an even greater prize for being honest.

I was the god when we did it... though I had to borrow mom's costume so I guess I was more of a goddess?
