MERRY SHITSCRAM
[All the survivors of the Airlocked catastrophe get a festive card inviting them to a nonspecific winter holiday party at the Electric Brewgaloo cafe in Portland. There's a list of nearby hotels and a way to get hold of Bolton for anyone who needs or wants any help figuring out a place to stay.
The cafe itself is popping. It's a bigger building than you'd think of for a cafe, a nice space that used to be a bar. The espresso bar is built into the fixures where the bar bar used to be, a relatively small part of the space. Indeed, most of the space in the building is taken up by tables and chairs and a library nook. There's a spare room off to the back that anyone who comes by for D&D will recognize - a private space with one big table and an array of chairs around it and the walls painted in an immersive fantasy landscape.
The paintings on the walls are a bit different from the usual landscapes - people from Season One or Season Two will recognize the fabricated star fields that were visible from the windows. Others will recognize the alien landscapes of Mr. Ein's house.
There's a Christmas tree in the corner and garland, paper chains, and paper snowflakes hanging all over the cafe. One table has been requisitioned as a bar for soda and punch. Another table for snacks, and a stack of local takeout menus for when the snacks aren't enough.
Happy Holidays, Airlocked!]
