They've got to have something to gain from it. They're a business - incredibly huge, but these shows are their products. If something makes a product more desirable in the eyes of the people you're trying to sell to, then why would you not take advantage of it?

[But this...3D printed bodies. Reviving the dead. Yanking people out of time and space and commandeering VR technology, lavish settings...what does InterGal7 gain out of this, if it's hemorrhaging money instead of veritably printing it?]

Perhaps. I...honestly don't know beyond hypothesizing, and I could be wrong. [It would delve into much darker, sinister motives for all of this pain, not the cold logic of business.] But we'll figure it out - whatever the innermost truth of all of this is, it can't stay hidden forever.
