It's possible one of them is something like I was--thinking they're human while being decidedly otherwise. Although if that's the case, it calls into question why he'd point that out and not the self-confessed vampire.

Perhaps because she is self-confessed? If he wishes to sow distrust, revealing something that is already no secret would be ineffective.

That's true. Yet as far as I've been able to tell, the rest of them seem largely ordinary; nothing openly inhuman like myself or Roland were. If one is harboring a secret like that, it may not be easy to determine.

Does it truly matter? Many in our group were not what they claimed, or even believed they were.
