[ Choromatsu has a very... different reaction to all that.
His eyes are focused on his brothers the whole trial, so Osomatsu's... everything doesn't escape him. And at first he's as annoyed as you'd expect. After all, no one gets tired of Matsuno Osomatsu's bullshit faster than Matsuno Choromatsu. It's impossible to count how many times he's called the eldest an idiot, or hit him, or gotten into a fight with him (verbal and physical). He's on the side of everyone giving him shit for accusing Yuri, sighing and facepalming.
But it could maybe also be said that no one knows Matsuno Osomatsu better than Matsuno Choromatsu too. The two had done nearly everything together as children, and they had always been more alike than Choromatsu would ever like to admit. So he can tell that Osomatsu is... trying. Legitimately trying. He's still Osomatsu about it, but for a moment Choromatsu is actually kind of proud. Proud of them both.
And yet... everyone's still angry.
Choromatsu can't even say that he doesn't get it. He probably would have snapped at Osomatsu too for some of this. At the very least he'd be trying to reign him in and calm him down a little. But something about this doesn't sit with him right. It makes him uncomfortable. Maybe it's how familiar it is. Of course Osomatsu is upset... someone died. Someone he got along with. Any attraction or crush he might have barely even factors into it - that isn't the point. He doesn't need that to be upset. Why is everyone else allowed to be upset but he's the one who gets flack? Because he's being human about it and not a sympathetic saint...? (Okay he's being a jerk but he thinks it's pretty understandable.) It rubs him so wrong all over.
But then it starts to become clear to him it's not about Chitose at all anymore. His eldest brother is having a existential meltdown. He's encountering death, real death for the first time in his life and he's afraid. Even before Osomatsu himself spells it out to Lucina, Choromatsu knows that's what it is. Because he recognizes it. This is the sort of meltdown that drove him to trying to take his own life. And they're telling him to shut up. Even when it turns out Osomatsu was on the right trail after all.
That's when he realizes he hates these people. And he is suddenly very glad they're all dead.
He hugs Angel's plush butt stallion close to his chest, having brought it out with him today as a bit of a security blanket. As he does he can't help but wonder... did Osomatsu have anyone there for him besides Karamatsu during this season? He can see Karamatsu has people but... is there anyone like Takumi or Angel there for Osomatsu? Will Karamatsu even be there for him and vice versa...?
Will they... break? Like he did?
He doesn't have time to start worrying too much about how his brothers actually met their end because soon enough the votes are being called and...
"I have four younger brothers waiting for me back home -- I'm not dying here!"
And if that wasn't enough:
"...Because people have died, whether it was for the motive or not--if we vote correctly, will the people we care about be returned? Will they remain unharmed?"
"Maybe if you vote correctly. But if you don't - well, we reward winners here."
"...If any of you vote to keep those murderers alive, I'll kill you myself."
...
"...some of us...have family. Back home......we cannot let anything happen to them. It would be like killing a part of us."
......
He doesn't bother staying long enough to watch the execution. All it takes is the sight of his brothers hugging each other close for him to know he's done.
He gets up and wordlessly leaves, a pissed off look on his face. ]
