It's the murdergame meme, but thinly retextured for Airlocked!! Don't say I don't love you, Airlocked crew.

The premise is simple: It's a meme where you play out scenarios with your alternate Champion choices for Airlocked, either characters you considered apping at the time but decided against or characters who you started playing after the end of Airlocked. The world is your oyster!

[Aster is an average tiefling who puts up a front of calm confidence in an attemot to hide that he has no idea what he's doing. Usually he lets other people take the lead in trials and other group situations, staying to the back lines with the occasional remark in favor of or against any particular course of action. Oddly, he's very evasive about where he came from or what the deal is with his title, and insists someone screwed up the name on his profile.]

[For all his energy during trials themselves, Piers is usually very quiet after the fact. Not one to bother people during their grief. But todayvwas right nasty]

Well enough. [His tail swayed behind him in what passed for agitation, Aster crossing his arms.]

I don't make a habit of watching public executions, myself. I'd wager a pretty few gold most people here didn't even know the concept 'til recently.

Yeah, yours truly for one.

[he almost spits the words out, taking a seat- all splayed limbs. Of course he knew what an execution WAS. He went to school. He read. Galar and Kalos had some brutal wars. But that was in the past- generations past. Nothing like this]

So how're you doing, then?

Mate, do I look like someone that's got time to be traumatized?

[he does always look like he's never slept even once. But that's just the punk life, yo]

[Aster grinned at that, flashing somewhat too-sharp teeth.]

Makes sense. [sometimes it just be like that]

[he's had some time to get used to Aster's... everything, so it doesn't startle him anymore. Instead he smirks back]

'Till I get back to Marnie they ain' getting a thing from me. No killing, no freak outs. No encores.

...We're gonna get out of here. Wish I could say anybody was looking for me on the outside, but this is kinda beyond my world's frame of reference.

[He grunts and nods, looking out towards one of the windows and the stars outside]

Yeah, not many people can just run off into space.

Draconia doesn't even have electricity and all that like we do here. Space is a tall dragonsdamned order.

Yeah, 'less Arceus knocks the door down I don't see anything from home getting here.

Draconia. That's the region you're from?

It's the name of my world, so...sort of. I'm not from anywhere in particular; I mostly do a lot of traveling.

Huh. Sounds nice.

[He would never abandon Spikemuth, but the idea of being a traveling bard musician has an appeal]

S'alright. Somebody like you could make some good coin there, in the right towns. Lot of people like music.

[ ... of course I say that, but Bryn seems to be pointedly not angsting after all that. That's not to say she's bouncing off the walls like she usually is and she's definitely subdued compared to her usual operating-at-11-with-no-volume-control intensity, but she's definitely more... chipper, shall we say, than you might expect. ]

That was all a bit excessive, don't you think? It really felt like a waste of time.

[Aster kept mostly to himself, against a wall in contemplative silence. Kid reminded him of Cerberus, really--too chipper, so either too dumb to know better or out of her mind. Or both. Both would be worse.]

Whole damned thing's a waste of time, isn't it.

Exactly! They obviously know who did it from the start, so making us puzzle it out like this seems so silly. If they really cared about punishing people who go around killing, they should just do it themselves without getting us involved!

With her little rant done though, she does concede that this maybe isn't exactly the vibe Aster wants from her right now and says- ]

[Not really fine.]

Ain't as if I've never seen someone die before. What about you?

I'm doing fine!

[ She gives him a smile. Just like her general Everything Else this evening, it's much toned down from her usual blazing intensity. ]

It's hardly the worst I've seen. It's just a bit harder to swallow when it's someone you knew, isn't it? It's sad.

Sad, sure, let's go with that. Seems a bit light, but I was never much of a poet.

Me neither. A friend of mine from home is forever scolding me for putting my foot in my mouth one way or another.

[ It says a lot about Bryn that she sounds moderately proud of this fact rather than appropriately chastised. ]
