Since we know a lot of people are ready and eager to start playing around in this setting, welcome to the official Airlocked Test Drive! For this test drive, we do have a posting format:

In the header of your comment, put your Character's Name and their Champion title. You don't have to put in the canon if you don't want, but you can if you feel the need.

And the guidelines we ask you to follow are, please try to include at least one prompt in your top-level to reply to, and if you make a top-level try to tag out to at least one other person. We want everyone to get a chance to give their choices a fair shake, after all.

Here are some examples to get you started:

A - Arrival
You wake up in a bed that's not your own, in a shiny chrome room that has bright fluorescent lights that light up along the floor as soon as your feet hit it and glowing sconces on the walls. Whether it's much different from what you're used to or not different at all, it's time to figure out where you are and more importantly, whether you're alone.

B - Mealtime
Well sweet, at least there's a cafeteria! But wait, it seems like there's only hot food during certain times of day. The rest of the time if you go foraging in the kitchen you can find weird silver packages with the name of food on the side that...definitely don't seem big enough to hold the food in question. If you open it up, it seems oddly dry...

C - Zero G
A zero gravity room! Awesome! The walls and floor are textured to give you something to hang onto to crawl across back to the control panel, but if you're floating in the middle of the room you might need someone to give you a push.

D - Holo Deck
A room where all your dreams come true. Kind of. In a photorealistic display of light and sound.

E - Anything else!

[Well isn't this an unexpected development. All the chrome is really not his style at all, honestly. But hey, when it comes to new adventuring locales, beggars can't be choosers. Because clearly that's gotta be what's going on here, this is just... some new place to go find another relic, kill some more bad guys, all that good stuff. Makes sense to him, even if he doesn't really remember getting here.

Except he's not really one for solo adventuring these days, which means he's missing two key elements here. Which means asking around. And that means stopping whatever rando is wandering around here so he can question them.]

Um, excuse me. Yeah, hey, I don't suppose you've seen a big, buff human guy around here? Impressive sideburns? Or an old dwarf cleric. Either or, I'm not particularly picky right now, though the set would be great.

[So obviously Taako was gonna make his way to the kitchen at some point, that's not even a thing anyone was doubting. But then he actually inspects everything in it and, well. There's a lot of disappointment here. He's just opening one of those packages, eyeing the contents with quite some distaste.]

You know, I might be a culinary wizard and all, but uh... I don't think even I can really work with this? Yeah, not even gonna try spicing this up, sorry. Guess I can consider my cooking plans just thrown right out the window.

[Hey, you. Whoever you are. Are you nearby? Because Taako just sort of tosses the package at you, not caring if you catch it or not.]

[The concept of waking up in a place he doesn't know is... not one he's fond of. For a moment he wonders if perhaps he was in a rough fight he doesn't remember, except... he seems fine enough, physically. Odd. Still, nothing to do but investigate, which he's been doing for a bit now. Not that he's been having much luck.

Though when he sees what his title is... he can't help but smile, despite the situation he's found himself in.]

Such a splendid title... I only hope I can live up to it.

( b - kitchen )
[It's curiosity, rather than necessity, that brings him to the kitchen. He doesn't show up for mealtime very often, but he can't help but wonder what there is to be found in here. The packages are... odd, and that's coming from him. He looks inside one, raising an eyebrow.

Though he's more amused than anything else, judging from the light smile as he looks over to you.]

I'm afraid I'm no expert on food, but... My guess is that humans can't find this very appetizing?

[Who doesn't love the Holo Deck? Heart is certainly very fond of it. It is, perhaps, the place he visits most often here. With new scenery every time. Though one thing that all locales of his choosing have in common is that they are very... dramatic? Heart doesn't simply pick a beach, he picks an oceanside cliff with the light perfectly landing on him. Or he doesn't just pick a forest, no, instead he has a forest at dawn, the light shining brightly through the trees and mist drifting low to the ground.

It's... unclear if he's doing this on purpose, but wow, talk about Extra™.

Seriously, how does the light just... always hit him perfectly. How does that keep happening. He looks like he's constantly in a photoshoot.]

[When you're used to the scenery moving and magic infused in everything that kind of flattering lighting is really not that odd. She has to wonder if it's some form of charm though since it applies to him no matter the setting.]

[A - Arrival]

[ Being the kind of woman she was, being on guard was her specialty and whether she had to do something on her own or with whatever help she could get was just how she was now.

The first thing that had seemed off was that she distinctly didn't remember falling asleep, so waking up came as a bit of an alarm, sitting upright and golden hues fixing on her surroundings. This was NOT the Van Eltia OR Loegres, she was alone and there was SOMETHING attached to her that she didn't recognize, causing her lips to curl in distaste and she was about to try ripping it off of her when she realized something else was wrong.

As a result, it meant +1 very angry Therion woman dressed in a rather stunning dress storming through the halls until she came across the first person wandering about. She'd look a LOT more threatening if she wasn't dressed like this, and her left arm wasn't reacting the way she wanted it to - which only soured her mood further - but her expression spoke volumes of how she was struggling to not outright just use violence as she might do normally. ]

You. Start talking. I want answers on what's going on right this damn instant.

[ B - Kitchen ]

[ It was inevitable in trying to gain more information on this place that of course she'd check out the kitchen, even if she really couldn't taste anything. Though amidst her inspections, she'd come across the packets and raised an eyebrow and opened it up to see what it was.

Promptly dumping it on the counter and just staring at it before crossing her arms over her chest. ]

...Even I really don't see how anyone would find this remotely appetizing.

[ It just looks like colored ash of some sort. How was this even food? ]


[ C - Zero G ]

[ Everything about this place was a mess and a far cry from what she was used to. Just when she thought she had this place figured out, Velvet had come across THIS of all things which meant looking somewhere between annoyed and a little panicked because how the hell did she get down from here?!

She's kind of stuck near the middle of the room, her left hand trying to hold down her dress from floating up while attempting to figure out how to get out of this situation. ]

S-Stay down, damn it... Whatever idiot made this happen is going to die once I get my hands on them...

[ Someone feel like coming and helping her out? Otherwise she's going to probably be here a while, grumbling to herself. ]

[Magilou was just as confused as Velvet, with the major difference that she didn't appear greatly shaken by it. Perhaps a little pouty, talking to herself as she examined the hallway-- also in the dress they were nice enough to give her. It's not quite the kind of style she'd pick for herself but then...
she also wasn't exactly in the market for picking up handsome young men-- or cute women for that matter. But she did have to give it to them-- she made it look good.]

Letting Bienfu get away from me again and casting this beautiful witch into space... what were they thinking?

[Hands on her hips, she calls out down the hallway. There were other people here, she was sure. She'd seen another room open on her way here and it was set up the same as hers.]

He-llooooo?

[What she wasn't expecting was the sight of Velvet interrogating some white-faced innocent in similar informal garb. Heh. With no warning, she suddenly sneaks up behind the individual Velvet was questioning, leaning over their shoulder and speaking quietly in a sinister voice with a tinge of playfulness.]

Careful~ She bites.

[Oh this is Magilous helping. Well... at least the other person seems to have enough room to flee while yours truly is distracting Velvet with her sudden appearance.]

Wow... they sure took off fast.

[...wonder who's fault that is. Spoiler: it's both of them.]

Zandakar | Champion of the God | Godspeaker Trilogy

[Anyone coming into the holodeck will possibly be a little disturbed to find Zandakar kneeling before the image of a stern woman, heavily scarred and seated upon a massive throne, gleaming black stone carved into the shape of a scorpion. The fierce blue eyes of the woman in the image mirror Zandakar's own.]

God keep me in your watchful eye. Forgive me, Yuma. [And even as he says it he reaches up to sheer one vibrant blue godbraid from his head with a pair of dull scissors from the craft room. Upon closer inspection it seems there are thin lines scored across his arms, slowly seeping blood.]

[Zandakar has moved tables aside, clearing a space of floor in the cafeteria large enough for him to maintain his training. He may not have his snake-blade but he is, at least, using one of the knives from the kitchen as a suitable replacement for the sake of practice. Watching him move through his hotas is something both terrifying and beautiful. He moves swift and precise through the motions of a highly trained warrior. He is but a tool of the God, it sees him and guides him through his knife-dance.

It would definitely be a bad idea to sneak up on him but as long as you announce yourself first maybe he'd be willing to talk.]

[Takumi doesn't sneak: even if he wasn't intending to make noise he always does- it was why while he was an amazing shot he was an abysmal hunter.

But he does cough slightly to let Zandakar know he's there before sitting to watch- if the other man wanted privacy he assumed he'd let him know, after all. Tact is not Takumi's strong point.]

[Queenie's standing in a hallway, tugging the elbow length satin gloves she's wearing up and smoothing her hands over the beadwork of the dress she's wearing.]

I'm sure I'd've remembered makin somethin this glamorous. [She giggles softly, turning to feel the fabric swirl around her legs. Then she abruptly freezes, blinking up at the other person in the hall like it's the first time she's seen another human being.]

Sorry, didn' see ya there. [And she didn't hear the thoughts of someone coming up on her. How!?]

[Queenie is fussing in the kitchen, a mug of coffee on the counter seems to be stirring sugar and cream into itself as she pokes her head into the cupboards, pouting and huffing out a breath that blows her curls away from her face. She pulls down a can of something that's meant to vegetables and her expression pinches in disgust.]

Now that don' sound appetizin at all. [And with a sigh she releases the can mid-air. Instead of crashing to the floor, though, it floats itself back to the cupboard which obediently closes itself even as her coffee stops stirring and taps the spoon clean so she can lift the mug and take a sip.]

[Somehow waking up in a room she's never been in before doesn't bother Nari as much as it should. Maybe because it felt more like a dream about a video game with this strange device on her arm. Certainly more hi-tech since it showed colored pictures. It showed other people here, which was strange, but okay. So she'll set about walking out of her room and exploring.]

Please don't be some bullshit escape room antics. I swear, I'll cut someone if that's the case.

[MRE's and astronaut food. Not the best, but not the worst. What was fun wasn't eating it. It was slowly watching it burn as Nari held it between her fingers. The smell was a bit much, but at least the charring gave it more flavor.

At least she doesn't look too bothered by the 'food' they have, and she's more than willing to show people how to eat it properly or give an entire history on it. ~Librarian things~]

[Anyone who comes into the holodeck will be instantly surrounded by a thick forest with Nari casually sitting in the middle of it all with a book in hand. There's birds chirping, a soft wind being heard rustling through the leaves. All in all it is very peaceful. Want to disrupt her quiet time? She most likely knows you're there already.]

[One would think that after waking up in a weird place that a person would first want to investigate. Well, that will come naturally enough, but Sara's first thought is to find where she can get some beer. While she's looking for that, she's bound to end up investigating at least some of the place and she'll be able to think better after a couple of drinks.

So when she sees someone she's going to ask the most important question of all.]

Have you found any beer?

[While looking for something alcoholic to drink, Sara found her way into the kitchen. Hey, there has to be a fridge in there somewhere with some nice chilled beer or maybe even some wine. Not like she's picky about what to drink.

But all this place seems to have is food that seems like military rations as far as she can tell. Though at least it has some selection in flavors to add to the cardboard taste. Unfortunately, she's been to Garrelia Fortress a couple of times and knows what the likely reasoning behind this is. Or at least what Neithardt claims is the reason.]

Not sure what's worse. Tasting like plain cardboard, or tasting like flavored cardboard?

[And if she sees someone nearby she'll ask them.]

B. Mealtime [ Okay so he... skipped mealtime entirely because like hell he trusts this place and like hell he trusts whatever food they give them. But unfortunately for Choromatsu, he is just one small NEET who can only keep up a refusal to eat for so long before he just gets too damn hungry to continue on. So now he's in the kitchen, in search of any leftovers from the hot food or... well anything really. He's holding out one of the packages by a corner, scrutinizing it. ] What the hell even is this? Poison? It's poison, right?

D. Holo Deck [ He'd come here originally to make a concert appear. It wasn't the same as the real rush and atmosphere of being at a concert and shouting and chanting to cheer on an idol, but it was close enough that it could ease a little of his homesickness. But for some reason that's not what he's looking at now. Instead he's looking at a standard Japanese living room, and watching five adults who look exactly like him but dressed in colour coded hoodies all gathered around the table for hot pot, while their parents can be seen eating in the kitchen together just across the hall. He's sitting down himself but not at the table. He keeps his knees close to his chest as he watches them eat and talk and sometimes fight. ...He's not sure how he feels. He knows it's fake, so why... ] It's weird... [ Seeing a replication of his life play out with him just gone. ] E. Wildcard [ hit me up for whatevs fam ]

[So this ordeal so far has been...well. Karamatsu isn't sure he'd say it's entirely unlike some messes they've gotten into before, but usually they get into messes as a group of six as opposed to a duo like they are now. It's been weird, but not what Karamatsu would call unmanageable.

Except...well. Obviously by now they are all well aware of the particular requirements this place has placed upon them, and it...isn't good. It isn't very good at all. But Karamatsu, being himself, has been either blatantly ignoring the trouble they've gotten themselves into, or he's just pretending like he's not bothered by it. He's certainly made a spectacle of himself by now, much to Choromatsu's certain dismay.

But now it's gotten late, and everyone else has filtered off to bed one by one. In fact, Karamatsu is one of the only few left awake and still out just before lights out. He's explored his own room already, bed and all, and it's...not something he's used to. By now they'd have a futon spread out on the floor, but everything here is different than that. No Japanese influence at all, really, which also leaves something to be desired.

So Karamatsu finds himself wandering after having pulled his pillow off his bed, though he's not wandering aimlessly. He's going somewhere very specific, and soon enough Choromatsu- whether he was already in bed or not- will hear a knock on his door.]
